Dancing for the Games

In the West Midlands we’re celebrating, and counting down to London 2012 by putting on our dancing shoes.

12 Moves Open Weekend

From local classes, workshops and outdoor performances to Punjabi folk dance and programmes tailored to hospital patients, young boys and teenage girls, Dancing for the Games includes almost 30 organisations across the region leading a wide range of dance projects in the run up to the Games.

As well as chances to take part yourself there’s a whole load of events and performances throughout 2012.

Dancing for the Games has been funded by Legacy Trust UK, an independent charity set up to help build a lasting cultural and sporting legacy from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The programme is also supported by Arts Council England and Advantage West Midlands.
